so like, im at 23rd, and i plant potatoes which grow in 6 days... does the day when i plant them also count, or should i simply wait for summer?

The day when you plant does not count. The last day you can plant potatoes is 22. spring (unless you use a Speed-Gro fertilizer). If you have parsnip or carrot seeds (or can buy parsnip seeds) I presume you are on the first year, plant them
