But Maru is Demetrius daughter. Do you mean they had her, split up and then got back together after Robin had a child with another man?

I mean that Robin at one point had two lovers, she just eventually settled down with one of them.

This is similiar to the kingdom-vyon family from classic Doctor Who.

Bret and saras mom had bret with a mr vyon, then had sara, lena, and david with merrick kingdom, then split with merrick and married mr vyon

mr vyon and the mom then raised bret on mars while merrick raised lena, David, and sara on Earth

or well its like that according to big finish

All things are possible, particularly within your own headcanon. I’ve always assumed Sebastian is older, but when you get right down to it, I can’t find that formally stated anywhere.

Neither Maru, nor Sebastian say the other one is older or younger. Maru clearly says Sebastian is her half-brother, but age is technically not discussed. Neither Robin nor Demetrius mention it either, anywhere I can find.

That said, I suspect this will be a minority opinion.

First, Concerned ape has confirmed he's the older brother, read the sebastian description - https://www.stardewvalley.net/dev-update-12/ (edit: just noticed you saw this yourself)

Secondarily, it just doesn't make a lot of logical sense. Even if she had this sort of two lovers trope, you're saying she'd not only have a fling but a full on kid with Demetrius, leave/cheat/have a kid with someone else, then come back to Demetrius with said kid. It's not impossible but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense when it's never at all hinted at from within the game.

Maybe with big finish and the vyon-kingdoms they wanted to do something like a realist “future liberal polycule” thing

I've always assumed that they're both in their early-mid twenties, very close in age, and that Maru is Demetrius' child with another woman from a previous relationship. That they're a fully blended family. But I'm also cool with Maru being Robin's biological daughter.
Either way totally makes sense to me
