Coffee question

What, in your opinion, is the most optimal amount of coffee plants. I have a couple vertical lines of coffee plants in my greenhouse and I end up with more coffee (triple espresso’s) than I really need.

Do you harvest a bunch of coffee to make a large quantity of triple espresso’s? Or do you have the perfect number of plants so when you harvest you have just enough to get you through till your next harvest? If you do the latter, how many coffee plants do you have?

In my old saves I rock double lucky rings mixed with iridium band and slime charmer ring / burglar's ring, but recently I swapped out a lucky ring for the hot java ring.

And I gotta say, that along with just that coffee machine pumping out a single one everyday, I haven't ran out at all. 0 coffee plants is the number for me.

At some point in the save when money is no longer a concern, I usually also just flat out 999'd coffees from Gus and then turn them into triple espresso.

I never really used the java ring. I’m rocking double luck with the burglar ring and an iridium band. I like that combo.

For year two I allocate sixteen greenhouse squares (two quality sprinklers) for coffee, and I put a line of eight kegs in the greenhouse itself, Just for coffee.

It’s very doable to just buy mass quantities from Gus when you’re rich. But I like knowing I have my own private stock. So I usually keep them, even if at some point excess beans pile up and I sell them.

Yep! That's usually the combo I rock with too - since I decided to have a little bit of a fun this time around, I tried a variety of different rings, and also just to see if I feel the difference of one lucky ring vs. two lucky rings as well.

I guess it depends what you're using Coffee for as I've been using Spicy Eel for the Speed buff with its always appreciated Luck buff, plus it lasts 5x as long. I pick up a few more whenever I visit the Desert Trader for more Bombs and Staircases and I usually end up with 2-3 extra from the generously crispy Flying Serpents in a typical Skull Cavern run. Still, on occasion I like the double Speed buff though once I got Evelyn's Coffee Maker I haven't needed to make any extra Coffee, in fact I'm pretty sure I don't have any Coffee plants growing right now! Which would be the first time ever in late game now that I think of it...

In my Big Shed, full of regrowing crops inside Garden Pots (167), i have 13x each, coffee plants included.

In my current save that i plan to axe the Big Shed, i am utilizing a fully upgraded Cabin (586x), in order to have more than 4x times as much!!!

I’m a double speed buff type of person. I usually go with crabs cakes (known as “cakes” in our household) and triple espresso’s all day. Unless I go into skull caverns then I’ll go with espresso and spicy eel. I’ll, on rare occasions, use espresso and lucky lunch for the added luck, but always feel like I’m walking through mud.
