As ConcernedApe has said, the green rain issue is an unfortunate but necessary side-effect of the latest update, and will not happen again after the first. I understand the frustration, but also realize that this forum is focused on bug reports, and will objectively be full of them.
A slew of bugs were fixed, and crashes are down 60% on Switch from where it was prior to the update. There are some growing pains, yes, but I know the porting team is actively working to the best of their ability to make sure that everyone will be able to enjoy 1.6 without issues.
Thank you everyone for your continued patience with the team.
Thank you for keeping us in the loop, as much as you can! And for being understanding about how frustrated so many of us are. Mewsubi, I don't know if you're in any position to push for it, but the following are some things that I believe could be helpful to those of us who's feathers are most ruffled;
1. official confirmation that more bug-fix patches are in active development for all consoles. Every time we're left speculating if these issues are going to be fixed. A little communication would go a long way. It's nice to have you and others able to confirm that they're working on things, but we shouldn't have to constantly ask you guys what they're working on. Just a "we just released patch A, patch B is in active development" or something like that would more than suffice.
2. actual patch notes for each console, listed out exactly like is always done for PC. This would be very helpful when it comes to identifying the remaining problems, what has been fixed and what hasn't, and knowing when we feel the game is stable enough to start playing again. Being left in the dark about what has been changed is frustrating every time.
3. please please PLEASE pressure ConcernedApe to stop using twitter as his primary, and often only, means of communication. A huge portion of us in the community don't use it at all, and it is entirely unusable for those who don't have accounts. Please encourage him or others who know him to get him to use his blog more and keep us all updated. I appreciate that once upon a time, twitter was very useful for disseminating info, but that isn't the case anymore.
All respectful suggestions, on my part. Again I very much appreciate the work all of you, devs, community managers and mods, and everyone else involved put into the game and this community. I am thoroughly frustrated BECAUSE I love the game so much, and it sucks to see it in a much less than positive state. Please don't mistake my criticism and venting for anything other than passion. I wish y'all the best and I look forward to seeing the game eventually fixed up properly for everyone to enjoy ^_^
