So I am in the position to complete the community center but it’s in the time of the new Desert Festival. Should I just finish it? Will it skip the completion since it’s a festival day? It’s my first time finishing the community center and I really wanna view the cutscene

I’m 99% sure it will not matter. The Desert Festival is not a “festival day” in the same way as the Flower Dance or the Ice Festival.

That said, you lose nothing by waiting until the Desert Festival is over. Being sure is probably worth waiting in your case.

The desert festival functions the same as the night market (if you've visited that one yet), which means its an all-day thing that you just come and go as you please throughout the day each day unlike the other festivals. So I'd imagine you are good to complete it now. But if not, it might be worth waiting until the festival days end for peace of mind

If the festival somehow influenced the cut scene, it would just happen after the festival. Cut scenes are never on a set day, they’ll happen the next time the conditions are met.

And for anyone wondering, the cc completion cutscene requirements are as simple as entering town any time on a sunny day.

The desert festival shouldn't at all affect this as it largely operates separately from the normal game functions (outside of npcs traveling to and from)
