What time i should enter town, so as she gifts me the Tea Set?
With Caroline, it was ~13:10 -> 13:20

My understanding is that it’s not just villager dependent but dependent on the combination of the villager, your seed, and the year. As such the only way to know is to just brute force it and try continually later 10 minute increments until you find it or hit the end of the time window to get in. I’m hardly an expert though!
I will be doing this for the upcoming Feast.Yeah you just have to try a lot![]()
I have put in 25 FREAKING years into this game, I am DONE with waiting for the opportunity to set tea.So honest question, if you're at the point where you're trying to remove all randomness from the event by RNG manipulation, why not just induct chicken [341] into your coop or something similar?
Yeah it's dependent on a couple variables and isn't as simple as a single list of all possibilities (for each npc) per year, you can even be unlucky enough to not get it at all, and spend hours checking each tick for nothing.My understanding is that it’s not just villager dependent but dependent on the combination of the villager, your seed, and the year. I’m still hoping the tea set can be activated like the coffee pot, so you can get a cuppa waiting for you each morning. Maybe even get a couple new kinds of tea. No offense to Caroline and all, but i needs my “Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.”I will be doing this for the upcoming Feast.

DONE.
Would be nice, though I'd imagine those who already irrationally prize it over anything else would go bonkers if it did something...I’m still hoping the tea set can be activated like the coffee pot, so you can get a cuppa waiting for you each morning. I had no idea that the gifts given depended on the tile the npc is standing on when you enter town. I received a tea set on my 5th year during my first play through, my wife has yet to get one.Yeah it's dependent on a couple variables and isn't as simple as a single list of all possibilities (for each npc) per year, you can even be unlucky enough to not get it at all, and spend hours checking each tick for nothing.
One thing you can do is know what npc is giving you their gift and their schedule for that day (outside of the festival), the gift they give depends on the tile they're standing on at the time you enter the festival, depending on the npc, they could just not move at all from like 9am to 5pm (like pierre), and during that time you'd just only get the same gift. This just helps reset more efficiently.
Otherwise, if you want the tea set, it's just going to be a matter of brute forcing it, sleep until year 25 and buy it (about a 2-3 hour process so not bad if you want a few), or spawn it in (it's a rather inconsequential item so if you're fine with doing so it's an option)
I agree, it's quite a fascinating way to determine a gift. Go into the code enough for this game (and many other games in the same way), and you just learn to accept some things just are as they are just because it worked outI had no idea that the gifts given depended on the tile the npc is standing on when you enter town.
