Switch Raccoon shop is not expanding

I completed some quests for the raccoon and his family; I get the items from the quest but the shop stays the same. The “shop expanded” text appears at the bottom left but nothing changes.

It's a known issue, and has been directly mentioned by ConcernedApe in reference to a console patch that will be coming along at some point. Hopefully it isn't too far away, it would suck to have to wait months again

Has he mentioned knowing about the almost no rain except fixed days?
