Sebastian Activities in Festivals

Hi everyone!
I have a question about Sebastian in Festivals. I married him from the 1.5 version, and stopped playing for a while, then updated to 1.6. He used to hang out with Sam in festivals before and after the marriage in the 1.5 version. In the new version, whenever theres a festival going on, I noticed that Sebastian always stay alone with the children, somewhere secluded, and not with his friends (Sam and/or Abby) is this normal for him?

I just got a quote from him saying: I wonder what Sam's up to, we used to be close friends.
I just got confused and couldnt find anything related online.

Does this happen to any of you?

As of 1.6 there are two layouts for each festival, one for even years and another for odd. NPC placement and comments are different on each layout.

Sebastian always hangs out with Sam during festivals on odd years in my save and is sometimes by himself on even ones (we do not have children but I believe they just stay near the spouse and don't alter spouse location). He has never made that comment about Sam to me, but has mentioned that he's looking forward to catching up with him at upcoming festivals. He also still goes to the saloon to see his friends on Fridays and hangs out alone at the beach first if it's raining.

I just completed the ice fishing festival in year 2 and he was alone but relatively near Marlon, whom he mention making a bet with (that my farmer would win the competition). Sam was busy making a snowman with his brother. Sebastian was also alone during the fair this year, but near the fortune teller, whom he referenced seeing. On my 1.6 save where I'm not married to him, he was still by himself for both those festivals.

I'm happy that Retro mentioned Sam does hang out with Sebby at odd years on festivals.
I now see that even if I didn't divorce Sebastian, I don't deserve him to begin with. I wished I paid that much attention to his each and every thought

I will see to mend my ways and stop living so materialistically...

Hi there, thanks for the replies. I actually forgot about the forum.

But yes, i noticed that Sebastian still goes to his friends like normal, so its just the new routine for odd and even years.

He still mentioned he wanted to meet his friends at the festivals so i think he's doing good.

Sometimes people would also comment on our marriage as well.
Something that Concerned Ape might have added is that Sebastian also remembered details of the proposal that took place at the beach, when the festival was also at the beach. Im super happy to find out that Sebastian remembered that.

I see you! You dont realise that you also care about him a lot. I don't know of your situation, but I'm happy you're relieved. And I'm sure you'll get to where you wish for with him

As for me, I feel so seen from Sebastian, I'm practically him with staying indoors, attaching myself to computer and only go out when it's dark, not to mention that winter is also the time where I like it the most on top of all that, I'm a romantic so I got squiggly when even the slightest cutesy change in dialogue is present I recorded the game to have moments of my character and Sebastian

Hiii, thank you for replying. So it was just the newest changes in routine for him and it doesn't have anything to do with his relationships
