PlayStation Divorce Bug

I have filed for divorce from my spouse since the new update and each time, my game crashes and I have to restart the game. I have tried, instead of sleeping, draining my energy and passing out and still my game crashes. Crashing has only happened the night of filing for divorce. Please help, I am on PS5!

I’m on PS4 and have been having the same issue for a week now. From what I’ve gathered it doesn’t matter what you try to do or what spouse it is so far, and it’s happening on consoles. The developers will have to fix it as it most likely happened following the console update.

This happened to me yesterday… tried a couple of different approaches. Good to know it is not just me. I’m on the Switch. Married to Sebastian, who is not good value for money. He’s given me one coffee in 6 months! Can’t wait to get rid of him. I may replace him with some pets lol

Same issue for me. Along with the goofball getting stuck in the fence in front of the bus.... That's not why I'm divorcing him lol. I am chaotic and love to marry then divorce everyone, starting with those who change the map in some way, like Alex with the back room in the pub or Abby with the cool little grave site. My first marriage on the new update since it came to console (PS5) and sure enough, it crashes the night after filing for divorce every time. I'm assuming when the game recognizes the changes needed to happen on the file, something goes wrong and can't even get to the save point. Just crashes. So I'm stuck with muscle man Alex who does nothing but sit inside a fence most days lol. I hope this is fixed soon!!

This absolutely has only been happening since the update. I've always married and divorced everyone on every save file for the collectibles and the map changes, and I've never had this issue before. Looks like we're settling til it's fixed lol.

I'm very new to Stardew, are glitches like this common. It's been over a week and still no solution. If the game is bugging out after the update, have they adressed it at all. At this point I have lost faith in the developers and just want my money back.

The bugs are just new with the 1.6 update for console. I’ve been playing for years and it’s never been this bad. Have faith and hang tight, friend !

I have been married to Penny for years, I married her for the strawberry room but on e she moved in she seemed so so happy and I felt horrible knowing I was planning on giving her the boot and moving Krobus in. So I stayed...visiting Krobus everyday in secret. I FINALLY get the nerve to divorce her and this glitch happens. I felt like Penny's wrath took over. I just don't know if I could try again 😭😫
