Has the condition for obtaining Prismatic Shard been changed?
The drop rate calculation for Prismatic Shard seems to be behaving abnormally.
Throughout a day, several experiences have been shared on the Stardew Valley subreddit.

Has the condition for obtaining Prismatic Shard been changed?

Yes, but not in the way you think. The chance was reduced for iridium nodes from 4% to 3.5% per. While the meterorite was buffed to have a 100% drop rate then nerfed again to a 25% drop rate.

There has been no change in the drop mechanics otherwise, when you have millions of people playing a game a 1/1000, 1/2000 drop is not very rare. I've gotten as many as 6 of the prismatic shard monster drops in a single day farming higher drop rate enemies.
