Solved [HELP] question about mushroom trees!

So if your a vet sdv player I probably sound like a fool but I've never gotten far enough in the game and I have a save where I'm farther than I've ever been and I have some mushroom trees! And I just got in winter year 2 and they look a little weird (here's the part where I embarrass myself) I'm wondering if they're supposed to look like this?

If you can't spot it I'm standing right above the mushroom tree!

Yes, they revert to stumps in winter. They'll be back in spring. If you leave them tapped in winter, remove the tapper and put it back on the first day of spring, there is something wrong with the timer otherwise.
