Well that would go against in my opinion one of the core parts of this game which is the sense of progression, in a new farm it is a chore to go to check the stores stock, to check the calendar and help wanted board and then when you have some more funds you can get this furniture to help you.

I agree with you here, I think the game shouldn't just be quality of life, quality of life, quality of life only. I think a sense of unlocking that kind of stuff as you progress is a big part of the game. And going to the town calendar and talking to the npcs is so immersive

I find many new players don't check Robin's store and they don't know Robin sells calendar. Add calendar at the beginning can help them.

This has not been my experience, but if it's an issue, then I think a better solution would be for Robin to advertise or recommend buying a calandar the way she does the house upgrade or the well.

It's very satisfying to earn enough to buy upgrades like the workbench and calendar. Having these kinds of things at your disposal from the beginning of the game trivializes them. I think it even insinuates additional pressure on the player to minmax everything, which ruins the game for many people.
