If you purchase the game on your phone, you would need to purchase another copy of the game to play on your laptop. Once the mobile version of the game receives the 1.6 update in early November, you will be able to manually move save files between your phone and laptop, but saves do not automatically sync across different platforms.

Adding a little onto what odin said, you can currently move saves between either device, though you can only play older files on newer versions, not vice versa
Since you are coming from an iphone you could transfer and play your files on a macbook so long as you bought the game there and don't mind not being able to play those specific files on your iphone until it updates
