What kind of music do you like?

I don't know about you guys but im obsessed with music, and im always looking for more, but lately I've found it challenging to find new music that peaks my interest. I mostly listen to Tyler the creator, (im a little obsessed:sweat:) and I wanna hear what you guys like so I can maybe find a new artist to enjoy. thx! btw im 14 idk why I feel the need to say that but I do

Most of these songs contain excessive swears and controversial topics, so if you're sensitive then proceed with caution. also I made sure all the songs are very different, so don't expect the same thing withe each song.

yo I love Jimmy Eat World, Boywithuke, Paramore, Taylor Swift, Billy Joel, Elton John, Green Day, Eminem and a lot more lol.

I'm not a huge music person actually, though I do enjoy having it off to the side or in the background, I don't really have any favoured artists, I'll listen to almost everything from the 70s-90s and selections of classical and some modern music

I actually really enjoy some game music, factory town and stardew have really relaxing background tracks that I can listen to for ages

yeah my dad heard me playing starred valley and he said he actually loved most of the tracks

Music taste status - Complicated.

A lot of what I'm listening to depends on mood as well as other factors. Generally my preferred genre of music is rock/metal, mostly Symphonic Metal with lots of forays into other subgenres (Power, Goth, Groove).

When not listening to metal or rock, I generally like my music to bei more calm - New Age, Retro Synthwave, sometimes Lo-Fi.

That said, I'm willing to listen to everything at least once and there's a lot of songs I like that don't fit the criteria mentioned.

My top recommendation would be Jhariah, he's been my favorite artist for years. If you end up liking his music, I'd also recommend Pinkshift.

Other than that, I've recently been getting into Bear Ghost and Goodkid's songs recently. The latter I'd especially suggest if you like The Strokes, like SirTiegertosch mentioned.

They're good music to relax to if you get distracted by lyrics, I like some remixes online too, there's one that comes to mind that I really enjoy but I can't put my name on the creator right now, I'll edit the message if I remember them

in case you guys want Inspo, Tyler the creator has the album flower boy which is pretty light hearted and sometimes kind of jazzy, and cherry bomb is really fun and sometimes intense. wolf is another great album, as its mostly generic rap, but its not like flexing and drugs and stuff so he's more relatable. virtually all of his songs have swears, and a lot are innapropreate, so I listen to clean versions for my parents sake.

Tyler is such an amazing artist, i've only really listened to his IGOR album and a few songs from wolf, but they're definitely some of my top played songs.

I'm a huge Olivia Rodrigo fan. Love all her music (so american is the best imo). SZA, Doja, Chappel Roan and Laufey are all really good artists too so I recommend listening if you have the time.

my fav from IGOR is definitely puppet, and NEW MAGIC WAND is second
