Do you .... as well?

I have many different saves on different maps with different this and that in the game. But some things never seem to change, since I first played and stuck to it.

1. Sort the tools in a specific order? For me it's scythe, hoe, axe, pickaxe, watering can + weapon if fighting. I always get confused when Clint upgrades my tools.

2. Put chests with the same contents (and colorcode) at the same places around the farm/in the shed or in town? I have some colorcode for myself, that I instantly know what kind of stuff/produce is in a chest and where it's located in the 'whole' picture. I put chests and maschines in a pattern that repeats almost 100% without looking at older games.

3. Decorate the house with the same pictures, trophies or other things?
For me it's at the footend of the bed where I place the towncenter trophy and later the Statue of perfection. Somewhere in the house is a butterfly cage from the desert and a side table with a golden pumpkin and one with the tresure chest on it.
Other furniture/decoration changes in every house, depending on the starter-furniture of the chosen map.

4. Do you hate it, if your spouse startes changeing tapestries and/or floors at random? Most of the time it costs me additional 30'000 gold for the catalogue at Pierre's to change it back. ;)

You guys walk around with all the tools? I just get the ones I am using for the day.
If its mining day, hoe/pickaxe/sword.
If its fishing day, pole/hoe.
If its gifting day, hoe/gifts.
I stash my tools only on a day dedicated to mining / SC run, when I need every available inventory slot.
Any other day is usually not planned ahead, and I don't really care.

I always color code my chests, it’s so much easier. White for miscaleneous, black for mining, blue for fishing, red for artisan\animal goods, dark green for fertilizers, seeds, and crops, and light green for foragables, wood, sap.

Tools - Always in this order:
I use a similar order, although with the watering can and scythe swapped, and the return scepter before the fishing rod. Although in late game I generally stop carrying around the watering can at all.

Very early game before I get a backup upgrade, I will sometimes be a bit more selective about what I carry around. But as soon as I get more inventory I just keep all the tools on hand.

Depends on what I plan for the day and how much inventory I have available. Since I put chests at important places in town, at the beach, mine entrance at a really early stage I can drop some things temporary in there. That happens a lot anyway, because I try to pick up everything.

I always have the same chest content and colors, not always in the same location.

Oooo, I like the opposite side for the scepter!! Im on PS4 (this go around, hehe), and the left trigger button is something I'm wanting to start using more native/natural like without thinking about it...
For whatever reason, I have stuck with going strictly from left end to the right like you have yours. But I never think to have something useful to the left (in this case the 12th slot where the scepter is) as an item swap 🤔.

Awesome!

O, I get it. I cant stop to stash everything lol. I am so used to just picking up the tools I will really need for the day that even with the bigger Backpack I will only be wandering with a few spots used.

You know, mine is almost exactly the same. The only differences being that the scepter is 1 row down in position 1, and the rod is 2 rows down in position 1. This is so I can just tap the 'tab' key when I'm done killing and instantly !ZING! home... or if I miscalculated and didn't bring enough food and I need to vamoose, again, tab>click and I'm home and out of danger.

Chests are always color coded, always using the same color codes... but arrangement? That changes. Certain chests are placed just inside doors, though, like at house and shed, so that things I'll need to dip in and grab quick when I find out what and how many (especially seeds) I'll need are quickly available and I don't have to cross the whole house/shed to get it. Other chests... wherever I feel like it when I'm putting it down. In different games I have different needs due to differing amounts of production going on in the shed, so where the furnaces, kilns, looms, recyclers, chippers, worm bins and the like are is based on how many I need and then the chests are arranged around that... except that the first furnace is always in the upper left corner of the shed. I don't know why I do that.
