My Owl Statue Disappeared

So I received the Owl Statue but towards the end of my 3rd year, It disappeared after a thunder storm. Is that supposed to happen?

It can if it’s struck by lightning. The game always hits the best crops or other things. I suggest lightning rods and lots of them. Also put your most prized possessions in your house or a shed. Hope that helps

Storms are very bad. ~40 Lightningrods should be enough, to protect your property.
