How do i find ancient seed artifact?

In the mines, those white bugs have a small chance of dropping ancient seeds but also if you hoe the hoeable dirt in the mines, you can find one. :D

Its a very small chance but they are there. Just keep digging everyday.

Man! I am playing a file and I’m almost at the end of year 3. I know I’ve missed travelling merchant many times, but you’s thing I would have gotten one by now from the wiggly grass (I always stop for that), bug drops, or fishing treasure. I really had to work hard on this file with no ancient seeds to boost me. This is my first Nintendo Switch file, is this an issue with Switch? I’m pretty invested in this file. Don’t want to abandon it! I never had an issue getting one in my PC (Steam) or iPad versions.

There is also a 0.5% chance of getting Ancient Fruit Seeds packet (not the Artifact) from the Seed Maker when processing any Crop, so you can use cheap/high volume Crops like Wheat or Blueberries and keep processing them until you get an Ancient Fruit Seed packet. I'm pretty sure it's random (not dependent on your game seed, lol!) so you could start your day running 20 or 30 Crops through the Seed Maker and if you don't get your Ancient Fruit Seeds, then restart the day and try again.

Bugs have been my primary source of ancient seeds. I'm not sure if I've found any of them in a fishing chest or by using the hoe this time, so far. My current count is 9, in spring of year 3.

it’s random but dependant on time and position so if you restart and do it again, start later or move the seed makers.
