Clothing Shop to sell and buy clothing

I'm definitely in favor of that. If not just for at least some reward for the multiple squire helmets in a mine run. I enjoy creating clothes (maybe not as much as @Lew Zealand ), and would definitely take time selling crafted clothing. Clothing store makes sense-- shirts sitting in a bin with 100 bottles of beer, pickles, and a gifted catfish (sorry Linus) are probably not in high demand.

Pelican Town is missing alot of things (which i will post in the future)

And that is a clothing shop

I encounter creatures in the mines that usually drop clothing items when slayed, but there needs to be a clothing shop where you can sell the clothing

Is it a good idea?
Yes! Unfortunately there's no pricing attached to Clothing yet or I'd already have the market cornered. But this is a shop that could involve Emily and Haley and I've mentioned on occasion that their Living Room at 2 Willow Lane could easily be converted into the shop for this use in later game, no need to even change the Pelican Town map. However as it's a very specific addition to the gameplay, it'll probably pop up as a mod rather than a vanilla game addition. But we can still hope!

The game is pretty accommodating to schedule changes like for the resort at Ginger and when you marry a spouse, for instance Emily only goes to the Saloon on Mon and Fri now that she lives on the Farm, plus she adds new locations earlier in the day on her Saloon days. So adding a trigger that changes Haley's and Emily's schedules if the Farmer/they open a Tailoring Shop is a reasonable thing which the game engine could accommodate. Since Emily is the Tailor and Dyer, it makes sense if both are going in on the business that Haley would be always there to mind the store.

Except she would need one day a week not to be there to match Robin and Clint and Marnie and Pierre. LOL maybe she just doesn't open the store until after she gets that Ice Cream from Alex in the Summer!

2 Sisters Tailoring

Emily proprietor and seamstress
Haley sales

Open 9-5 except Summer
Summer open 4:30-5

Or what if she leaves the job at the saloon to open a clothing store?and both Haley and Emily work there

Just a suggestion

Sandy in the Calico Desert sells shirts. So maybe this part could be expended.

More than buying and selling shirts I would like to give clothes to other villagers and see them wearing these.

Because then they can have fashion shows every season (consisting of the townfolk in Pelican Town itself)

Thats only when Emily and Haley start the clothing store

I was really surprised when I found out there was no clothing store or way to sell shirts/pants/hats. Am definitely in favour of this suggestion.

I dislike throwing clothing in the trash, so it takes up valuable chest space until I acquire a dresser. Which can take a while.

I also throw my clothes in the trash can

And for me its annoying i tell you

This suggestion has to be made into a mod (and put on Nexus Mods also)

I'd like it if the Oasis sold a random bottom to go with the random shirt each day and also bought shirts & bottoms. It could be a formula like 1000g+Y(x2) where Y= the value of original item used to make the article. Clothes that cannot be made can have a set cost like the boots & shoes at the Adventurer's Guild.

Hat Mouse could buy hats from the farmer using a similar value system.

Then, between the Oasis, Adventurer's Guild & Hat Shop, you could sell all clothing items.

You can also add shoes to that list

Because i also get shoes when i slay creatures in the mine

So what do you guys/girls think about the idea?

Because i love the idea of a clothing store which is owned by Haley and Emily

Based on the Villagers' safe pathing areas, the Clothing Shop could be a small building north of Jodi and Kent's house just south of where Harvey hangs out in the afternoons and north of where Vincent plays. There's a safe 4x6 area which easily accommodates a new small building (a 3x4 maybe?) which you'd need to enter (as opposed to an outdoor stall) as there should be private changing rooms.

This way there are no changes to Villager pathing and the map change will be minimal. Maybe you change Harvey's pathing anyway to go to the larger park up north if you feel he wouldn't like the new building so near to where he hangs out during the day.
