so, i don't know if someone has already talked about this, but when i was playing for the first time, i got the cutscene with caroline saying that abigail had chestnut hair and then dyed it purple. it left me wondering if caroline also dyed her hair, because a lot of the characters have natural hairs. emily and sandy also have colored hair, so i guess you could say they dyed it. but with caroline i just think it's funny that she just has green hair but then has a problem with abigail's hair. so my question is, if in the stardew valley universe, some people can be born with coloured hair and some don't?

I believe there's a fan theory of an implication that Abigail's hair is naturally purple because she's actually the Wizard's daughter, not Pierre's. Caroline doesn't like the reminder, so she says Abigail's hair is dyed, to alleviate suspicion.

To answer your question, I think it would be perfectly reasonable for some people to be born with coloured hair. There's a lot of magic around. Although now I'm wondering if the colour extends to all body hair as well. The wizard does have a purple beard..

That has painted a very unsatisfactory image of purple chest hair in my mind

Little Vincent has pink hair. No one mentions it being dyed, and no one else in his family has unusual hair colors.
