Question [CP] Custom pet help

So I want to create a custom pet, but the guides that I've found are very very basic, and don't cover the ridiculous amount of code that goes into creating a Content Patcher pet.

There's a LOT more now with behaviors, friendship etc, and I can't find a database or guide that covers that.

Anyone have any links?

I've basically made a reskin mod for a dog/cat, but I'd like to make it a whole new pet that can either be adopted as the first pet, or adopted later.

Download StardewXnbHack and follow its directions for how to extract the data from SDV. Next, find the file Pets.json within the Data folder. In there, you'll see exactly how each pet is defined via JSON.

You're welcome! It's probably going to be a lot of work as you're going to have to define the animations for the pet as well.

Yeah I was looking at that and it looks like a LOT. It'll be worth it, though- I'm working on a companion mod to my other mod to create a story driven package!
