I’ve read a lot on this but I can’t find what the new NPC dialogue is in 1.6. What is different? Do their personalities change?

It’s mostly smaller things and tweaks with dialogue that was missing before. I’ve found some dialogue that Lewis has when you divorce more than once for example.

I've come across a lot of new dialgue, especially on my old save, but nothing huge. For the more well-rounded characters, it gives them more variety in their daily comments. A few of the characters I always thought were a little one-note seem more balanced (Pierre, Clint, and Demitrius feel a lot more alive) now. I just had an interesting exchange at the year 4 fair involving the Wizard and Sebastian, though. Also, Maru and Penny have a book club now.

I've gotten far enough along in my new save to see some heart events and do some building on the farm and now I'm seeing NPCs react to this in their daily dialogue, which is really adding a feeling of it being a real community. It makes me much more motivated to speak to all the villagers now. ^_^ Gus and Lewis have also remarked on specific crops I'm growing/harvesting.

Alex and chickens surprised me! I thought Shane was the chicken lover. Maybe Alex is hinting at having some new protein in his high protein diet!
OR he just wants more good fresh eggs for complete breakfasts.

I don't have the direct dialog but during the summer with the green rain event, if you go up to Robin / Demetrius's house, you can find Demetrius outside in a hazard suit saying that he's collecting sample and to tell Robin that he's okay. I went into Robin's house and didn't see her and also didn't see her in the Saloon where everyone else was. I ran out of time that day to find her. I wonder where she was? Anyway, that was my contribution to this post!
