Slime Hutch: Keep or Destroy?

I don't really see any use to the Slime Hutch. The eggs are hard to find and even the domesticated slimes can slime you and take away your health. Do you just raise them to kill them? Just wondering.

It's for the eggs, and curiosity factor. However, you can avoid the issue of combat with your bundles of...joyous slime(?), by attaining the Slime Charmer Ring! It prevents the slime debuff from the slimes, as well as damage from them. Only downside is, you have to kill 1,000 slimes in the mines. It's apart of the monster eradication goals. Once you do, go visit Gil and he'll give you the ring.
