I am so upset (Lost Save File)

My heart is super sad. I have tablet that had 4 separate saves on it. My oldest save was Year 10 and represented over 600 hours of game play. The tablet had to be factory reset, in order irradicate a virus. I had no choice. I couldn't even back up my Save File data (because I couldn't get to it). Gone. It's all gone.
I've redownloaded Stardew from my Google Play store. I know that the save files are stored locally. Is there anywhere, at all, where I can find a back door copy of my save files?

Oh no!!!!!!!:cry: I don't know anything about getting you file back but I have a file with like 300+ hours on it and having Gwen deleted would haunt my nightmares for years (I am so sorry for your loss)

Yeah that's tough, I have had some similar issues in the past but never lost at 600+ hours. I lost 2 in game years and was able to bring my file back with a cloud save and just had to redo like 55-60ish hours. I don't think that games on the android/tablet have any sort of auto cloud save by default. But there are apps you can use to store things on a cloud & I'm sure there is ways to back up your save to a flash drive. There are also ways to recover files, perhaps an app but I don't really know much about android/ios . I also assume a factory reset would delete everything. All hard drives and hardware do fail eventually. so best advice if you have any sort of files you care about back it up twice. losing a progress is a bummer I feel your pain. but honestly I think you can build it back better in even half the time. Just remember to find a way to back it up just in case something goes wrong. Maybe someone else has a better answer but thats all I got. Best of luck:)

Correction, its 254 hours give or take but the point is it's really hard to get over that kinda losss

Go to the stardew wiki page on transferring saves, it has a page on directory for where files are stored on your device. Hopefully it’s still there 😢
