Pirates wife quest isn’t working (xbox)

i got the war momento of birdie and when i try to give it to kent it says “wrong person” i’ve tried to give him it and i can’t find it to work, i know there is no way to reset the quest but is there anyway i can get this fixed?

Hmm...That is weird I think I heard of a problem similar but I don't remember of a solution.. Does it say you are on the quest in the quest tab? I don't have many answers but some suggestions maybe talk to birdie again..Try to give the memento to gus, sandy, george, wizard and willy and then try to give it to kent.. maybe try to give kent a gift first. I cant think of much to trigger it to be correct. but then again I can't think of any reason why he would say wrong person.. honesty I think it would probably work if you just try it on a different day, game seems to be like that sometimes. best of luck:)

I had a similar issue on PS4. Same quest, different character. I first tried to give it to the wrong character, then the right one but it still said 'wrong person'. I tried to give the item to a different wrong person in town until that prompted a dialogue where they told me it reminded them of the correct character. Then, when I went back to that character, they took it. You could try that.

Edit: it just occurred to me that the character who gave the hint was related to the correct character. So that could be why they said it, or it could just be you get a hint after x number of tries. I'd try giving it to Jodi to see if it prompts the dialogue right away.

i’ve tried all that nothing really seems to work, i’ve tried giving it to kent outside and inside his house then tried to give it to willy george gus kent’s son everyone but it doesn’t work :(

i’ve tried to get it working, i’ve asked everyone before asking kent i’ve tried to give it back to birdie idk if it’s a bug or idk :(
