Don't think I would try modding .. But a few months ago I downloaded godot ( the game engine ) to maybe try to make something .. The whole thing is foreign to me like a different language
I watched videos but still couldn't absorb the information It was as if they were speaking the same language as the program .. I began to take notes and something amazing happens when you do that.. Just like my math class days of old something about just writing it down helps translate that language to your brain .. It turns out this is how I learn as it is more of a kinetic activity.. If you really want to make your thing look up a guide and take some actually pen to paper notes.. You may be surprised how much it actually helps.. That's all I got, that's what works for me ..
I'm sure even some people will give you some tips but even then It may still seem foreign, Write it down, it really really really helps cement the info into your memory .. If it's learning about programing or how to make a mod or even math.. there may be no stronger tool in your "learning arsenal" than simply taking some notes .. Best of luck with you mod:)
