To late to fix Willy’s boat?

I’m playing on my kindle (android mobile) and I’ve already restored the community center. I think I started to watch the animation when I went in Willys shop but accidentally skipped it. So I didn’t realize I had to bring Willy some things to repair the boat. I only learned about this when I looked into how I get to ginger island. I’m guessing I only had a certain amount of time to bring him the items because there is no door to leave the items in? I only see the ladder. Am I never going to be able to go to Ginger Island now??? 😢

You have all the time you need! Idk what’s wrong. Maybe that was the wrong animation? What was the time? Did Willy send you an invitation in the mail?

I'm not sure that animation actually has anything to do with it. Have you seen the cutscene inside the community center that you get upon playing it? Have you checked the mail after that, and did you get an invitation from Willy in it?

If there is no door, can you make sure the save file is updated and are you using mods? The door should always be there, not only after the cutscene.

I did see the cutscene at the community center. I’m pretty sure I remember getting the letter. What if I accidentally didn’t accept the quest? Could that have happened with a quest like this?

No mods. I’ve been playing for weeks since I restored the CC. So it’s definitely saved.

The door is there from the beginning of the game in 1.5

So if the door isn't there at all, your save file is still on 1.4

Yes, make sure your game is updated. (Also, if you happen to be playing on PS Vita, I don't think that has the 1.5 content.)

The door is there from the beginning. Have you encountered any other content for 1.5?
You can check your version on the start screen of the game. Click on the question mark in the corner and the version will show below the window that opens.

maybe it is that my game didn’t update. Kindle says I have version “1.4.5.144amazon” I just spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to update the game on my kindle and got no where. I’d even be willing to purchase the game again if it meant this would be fixed, but I don’t want to uninstall and lose my saved game. I really enjoyed this game but I’m getting bored without a new goal (since restoring the CC) and really wanted to go to ginger island. 😏

You shouldn't have to repurchase unless you want to play on a different system. I don't have kindle, but does it allow you access to the data? If yes, you can make a back up of your save file by copying it to your computer.

I guess Amazon has their own app store, what does it show when you open that for Stardew?

Amazon does have their own Android app store, it looks like Stardew is currently on 1.5.6 there.

(It's not unusual on Android for the hardware vendor to have their own slightly different version of Android and their own app store, Amazon has this on their tablets, as does Samsung and probably others.)

You say you think you watched it, but are you sure? Maybe you're just thinking of a different playthrough? I believe you can check your mail in the menu and see if you'd gotten it. Maybe a start in diagnosing if and what your issue may be?

That’s what I’ve found too. But I’m worried that if I re-purchase the game and download it, it will erase my saved progress. If it was just an update that I had to download I wouldn’t be concerned but I can’t seem to find anyway of updating the game through the Amazon App Store only purchasing the latest version.

I probably mixed it up with a different one. I think at this point I have to just repurchase the game and lose my saved progress which really stinks. I liked my farm and don’t want to redo it all over again. …

You should be able to copy the save file to your computer, and then copy it back after re-purchasing. This wiki article talks about where to find the save file: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves#Mobile_.28Android.29

This sounds like the likely cause of this issue to me as well. You definitely shouldn't need to purchase the game again, ASpaceCowgirl!
