Your First Save

What stupid thing did you do on your first save? I remember not doing anything but fishing and spending all of it on copper only to find out that the fishing rod isn't upgradeable. Also I slept all of the winter because I was bored not being able to farm (even though I didn't farm anyways). The final most stupid thing I did is IGNORING THE ARTIFACT SPOTS!!! I though it could only give me clay!!!!

In the first save where I got past day 8 I didn't know you had to feed your chickens or keep them warm. I also had the misconception that shane loved fruit.

I spent the first days trying to work out the Switch controls. I don't think I looked at the community centre until the summer. Fishing was Too Hard so i ignored it.

I must have looked away when the pop-up told me how to move, so I spent half my first day pressing random keys until I finally managed to open the menu.

I locked myself out of the cabin. I placed a chest in the doorway by mistake without knowing how to remove it. Lost like two days until I figured out how to remove it.

Gave Lewis copper for his birthday. I was excited to have found a copper ores and I didn't think everyone would hate something as valuable.

I didn't sell anything because I didn't know if I'd need it later. 3 chests full of Fish, 2 of Veggies, 2 of Fruit, 2 of Minerals, 1 or 2 of Forage. Mostly for gifts or Community Center Bundles but I didn't know what I'd need later. Once I finally got it through my head that you can just head back to level 20 in the Mines to get a few more Earth Crystals for Emily, I sold a lot of it off and could finally afford to buy/upgrade some decent things in the game. Which was sometime in Year 2 with close to nothing accomplished.

Not that bad, but I spent my first iridium bar on a slime hutch. Needless to say, didn’t turn out too profitable.
