I looked up purple mushrooms. Apparently, although some may be technically edible, they are bitter and/or may be/definitely are toxic, depending on which species you find.

So maybe don't eat the purple junimo.

There is no way to eat one unless you are spontaneously transported into the game and continue to have free will during the period you are in the game
