Switch Workbench incorrectly displays available materials

The workbench does not display that materials in surrounding chests can be used for crafting. Only materials in your inventory are displayed as being available.
This is only a visual bug though, even though the item is displayed as 0 the workbench can still use it to craft.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Version 1.6.9.36 on the Switch.

I’m also on 1.6.9.36 on switch but my issue is a bit different. The workbench is seeing items in the chests but under ingredients it incorrectly shows what I have.
For example I have everything to make a keg and it allows me to make a keg, but under ingredients the color of all the items is red as though I don’t have them.
