With lance

In SVE im past the grove quest and now when i went to give him a thing of flowers i checked and how he's undateable? is that due to me being in a quest or do i need to restart? any help is needed im very much so new to posting like this

Your Lance looks like a modded version, which might be causing the problem.
I know of one Lance mod that makes him undatable until you've seen his 8-heart event.
