Will there be new chapters or gameplay added for the Overachievers?

I have completed perfection twice. Once with cheats, once without after I learned the flow of things. I have done pretty much everything there is to do, twice, but I would hate to restart over a third time considering I’m into Year 4 on my latest game. I was wondering for us that love the game and want to continue playing, will there be newer chapters, quests, storylines, characters, achievements etc. added on after main story line? Or is there a new game in the making Stardew Valley 2? (Maybe a Stardew Adventures) ;)

I think ape is working on the last major update, you can also look for mods. The game is very mod friendly. As for new games, he's working on haunted chocolatier. From what i heard, it's supposed to be a shop sim or something, so look forward to that :)

As far as I've heard (not sure if this is true or not bc I don't use twitter) but I don't think there are any more huge updates coming for SDV in the foreseeable future, just some smaller ones and nothing like new characters or anything. Maybe someone can confirm that. If you're looking for a mod that adds big stuff like that, try SDV Expanded. It's really big, but its new stuff to explore. I've also seen the little sneak peaks of the new game coming out and it looks pretty cool.

I'd recommend RSV as expansion mod; it gives at least as much new content as SVE, and is much better balanced, IMHO.

(Besides I went nuts trying to just install SVE. File permissions for Linux are broken and it's a horrid hassle. When I tried to comment on that I only got a rude comment from an outsider that did not understand the matter, no reaction from the mod author(s).

I have 567 mods currently running in my game and I've yet to reach perfection.
Stardew Valley Expanded (I'm on windows, so no problem installing), Ridgeside Village, Defense Division, and East Scarp all integrate nicely with the base game and add a ton of content, quests, NPCs, fish to catch.....
I also have the full PPJA collection which adds tons of recipes, crops, and crafting.
If you're into fishing, More New Fish adds over a hundred new fish in all locations (including Ginger Island).

If you are thirsty for new adventures, interesting places and fresh characters, you can consider using mods in your game. One mod that I recommend is Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE). This mod will open up a wider world, with additional features, new locations and interesting characters. With SVE, you will get an expanded and more enthralling gaming experience. So, if you feel ready for an unforgettable adventure, start with SVE and enjoy an exciting new experience in Stardew Valley.

Welp have fun getting perfection in that.

I like having lofty goals. It gives me a reason to keep playing. I set myself a target of 999 iridium rabbit feet so that I have something to look forward to while slowly accumulating the cash for the golden clock. (Initially, I wanted a fully filled chest of 36 stacks of them. Then I realized that I would probably go completely insane if I actually tried to do that, so I scaled back.)

I add some more:
Downtown Zuzu: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/8587 (a bit unfinished feeling, I'm waiting for a major update before a retry, but adds areas and content.
Durin's rest: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/12345 (warning, I got it to crash in a cutscene and haven't heard from the author after that)
Fostoria: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/11478 and Stoffton. I have not tested the latter. I put Fostoria and Durin in a save that is now waiting for solution for that crash.

Oh, and if self-advertising is allowed: Distillery: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5675 It should be compatible with PPJA, at least I've tried to avoid naming clashes.

Also I advise against installing all and every mod for the same run! RSV, ES and Zuzu together felt really too much! And I had only base ES, not the extra people (coming as separate mods, some of them like Juliet and Jessie playable also without ES)

Ah, yeah, forgot Durin's Rest.
I don't play with Zuzu because it conflicts with a sewer mod I have (Underdark Sewer: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3070).
I have Always Raining (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/9999), Beatrice (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7042), and Lavril (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/10016) for East Scarpe. I had Jessie and Juliet and Yri the architect, but I didn't like the characters, so I removed them.
I also have Cape Stardew, but it seems to update every day, so you may want to wait until it's more polished: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/14635
I have Fostoria, but I removed Stoffton as it seemed to slow my loading time significantly and while it added a new area, it didn't seem to really integrate with the base game like the other additions do. Maybe I'll add it back in for my next run, if I ever finish this one, lol.

And yeah, it's all A LOT! Lol.

I don't have Distillery, but between Starbrew Valley (PPJA) and Durin's Rest, I have my hands full with brewing, lol.
