Why yellow? Just Why?

I think one of my all time biggest pet peeves with this game (other than no more than 36 slots in your back pack) is bright yellow everywhere. Interface, paths, farm and farmhouse, tabs, forums everything. It hurts the eyes so much. When I could play on my computer I had a nice mod that turned everything into a nice natural brown like the mountains. Maybe one day there will be accessibility feature added to tone it down. Is anyone else really bothered by this?

If I'm being honest, I have not noticed bright yellow everywhere, although during Autumn time, it is massively yellow(?). The only eye-complaint I have is with Junimo Kart's volcano stage lol, that red is soooo blinding right after the soothing Ghastly Galleon stage, and of course that game requires your undivided attention to beat lol. I always say the challenge with that roller coaster volcano stage is whether or not you have been thoroughly blinded by the end of that and not the course itself haha.

Of course, more accessibility feature is always a bonus where it makes sense, because I appreciate everyone having the opportunity to play SDV at the best experience possible! I wonder if other players have issues with colors such as yellow though.

I don't like it either, it blinds me after a while lol. I usually turn down the brightness of whatever device I'm using and that sort of helps with it.

I'm really sensitive to high brightness so I get the complaints, but as I mostly play on PC I just turn down the brightness. In fact I find the yellow tint to be soothing and much like Ereo I dread the blinding brightness of Winter snow which sears my retinas.

One thing to consider is whether your monitor or TV is set correctly. Many TVs and monitors are set to full brightness and contrast out of the box to stand out in comparison to others but are horribly calibrated for everyday use. They hurt my eyes while doing anything, not just bright gaming. The pages at http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ can help but I haven't used their website in a while though it looks the same as I remember. The Contrast, Gamma, Black Level, and White saturation ones are the ones I used the most.

It will never happen, but I'd really appreciate an option during creation (for those of us on console unable to use mods) that allowed you to change the yellow dirt to a dark brown color, as well a separate option to darken the grass as well. It would be so much more aesthetically pleasing to me and make it easier on my eyes all in one go.

my iPad and I phone are always 24/7 night mode at warmest setting possible, plus 70 white light reduction. I have VERY sensitive eyes. I’ll figure something out since I can’t play computer version anymore.
That might explain some of the superyellowness as warmest night mode removes all the blue and even some green leaving aaaallll the yellow and orange which means the game becomes a megaultra Fall colors simulator. White light reduction does the same but I’m not as familiar with it.

Well yes but that actually makes it a warm doable yellow and not bright light yellow. I found this shading and blocking certain colors. Works on Stardew. Grayscale too. I’ll play with it see if I can’t get something easier on my eyes. I literally have to close my eyes when the loading screen comes on and I stay inside or mining in winter. Just can’t do it.
