Which bachelor should I go for?

I’m starting a new playthrough, and I’m in a bit of a dilemma.

I have to choose my future husband, but honestly, I don’t really have a favorite. The only character I truly simp for (my soulmate, obviously) is Hayden from Fields of Mistria. Compared to him, the Stardew Valley bachelors are… well… something

Still! I need romance in my game, so I’m calling upon you–yes, you, the smart, wise and beautiful person reading this, to help me decide. Please guide me, for my love life, I AM BEGGING YOU-!!

Seb, Harvey, Elliot, and Sam are solid choices.
I personally don't care for Shane because of his drinking problem. And then there's Alex who, ugh is sexist, rude, annoying, and just overall bad.
I've only gotten 14 hearts with Sam and have seen all his dialogues but yea that's pretty much my opinion on them.

For Alex, yeah...i heard about that, but if you play as a male it give peak story telling, but yeah im playing as a woman so no.
And Shane would have been fine if he just stoped drinking after marriage !

He mostly stops drinking? Unless you let him go back to low hearts, but so long as you're high hearts he doesn't have drinking-related dialogue as far as I'm aware (besides the one where he jokes with you)

Hmm, my personal favourite is still Alex. He does a complete 180°-turn if you get on well with him. And I like his grandparents so much...
Sam is sweet, but remains very childish, even as a husband.
Sebastian is my second favourite. He is very grateful to live on the farm and gives you your freedom. The only downside is that he likes Slime Hutches (but If you build one, He doesn't seem to notice).
Elliott (my current husband) is okay, but seems a bit pretentious to me.
Harvey has this fatherly attitude and seems very protective, which wouldn't be for me.
And Shane remains a depressed guy, which I don't need either.

In general, though, it doesn't make much difference which one of them is hanging around your house. And since this question comes up every now and then, search the Forums, there's more than one other topic for it.

Sebastian is a pretty solid choice: he evolves from his dark and distant attitude, he even stops smoking, yet he keeps his interesting mindset.
Harvey is the archetype of a bachelor: lovely, deeply in love, romantic and with some maturity. However he won't behave in a way that may surprise or puzzle you, unlike other bachelors.
Alex becomes more and more interesting as one gets to know him. I haven't married him in any save file, but I'm considering it for a next save file.
Elliott... never married him and he is one of the NPC that I don't really have interest in... so nothing to advice...

For Sam i am hesitating,i said i won't go with him,but because i saw his dopey loving grin portrait while trying to find wich one i should go for,im hesitating, it was so cute

Then there is Harvey and Elliot, wich i heard both are very sweet and loving, but it is said that Elliot is more romantic,yet Harvey has good day to day dialogue.

Then again, Harvey's heart event put us high up in the sky and i have a fear of heights, like him,so it won't be great...

For Elliot's heart event he give wine and such,and i am not into alcohol.

I am not gonna go with Alex cause i already got with him in one of my previous save files.

Shane would have been fine but he still drink... And i mean, i can't really fix him, i have to fix myself first

So...surprisingly Sam is winning over my heart. I guess i can put up with a man child, i survived my brothers, whats a husband ?

Well, If that's the point, maybe Sam would be a good choice. He was the only one so far, who gave my farmer cute names, the others just say the name or honey/sweetheart. And he likes cuddling very much.
Elliott is sweet, too, he talks much in poetic or pathetic words. But His 14-heart-event is really nice, I liked it much.

He's at 14 hearts and a pretty happy spouse so far... We are married for two year's now and the only things I get from him are a lot of poetic chit-chat and a coffee several times a week. But tbf, I use to come home very late, even on rainy days, so he's usually in bed already and we don't have the evening dialogue.

I wouldn't say he hates me. It's just that I'm busy running a farm the whole day. Don't have time to stroll around and do walking meditations to get the creative juices in flow, like he says...
