What's the best meal you've ever eaten?

FilthyGorilla

Local Legend
Honestly probably some random fish and crackers when I was starving on a week long hike. Incredibly satisfying to sit down and eat when I'm just plain exhausted after a day of trekking

Fried Cassava, with fried pork belly and tomato sauce 😇

Its kinda a local dish, but it highly depends of the ingredients quality, can go from standard to outstanding.

Chaos bacon

Planter
I'm going to sound so basic, but it was probably when I first tried eel sushi rolls.
the melty in your mouth flavor
the sauce
the EEL

🤤🤤🤤🤤

What is Cassava?
Its a tree root, pretty common in latin america (we call it "Yuca"), it shares some similarities with potatoes, the flavor its very distinctive though.

It might not look that delicious, but you peel it off, boil it for around an hour and then you fried it and season it and taste really good, its not that complex or expensive either, but quality goes all the way around from poor to exquisite, it holds on good ingredients.

You get a dish similar to this, but is even better with a good tomatoe sauce. (Picture isn't mine)

Thank you 🙏 It sounded interesting, since I like cooking and trying to do other dishes every now and then.

You wont regret it, its really good, although i think i exaggerated saying you need to boil it for an hour, i eat it more than what i cook it 😅, probably 20-30 minutes its ok but you might rather check online if you cook it.
