He runs a little shop where you can buy some useful things for Mining e.g. bombs, life Elixier etc. and some special Decoration. But first you have to find all the four dwarf Rolls in the mines and donate them, the reward is a dwarf translator. Afterwards you'll be able to understand him and use the shop.

What does this word even mean?
If you're taljing about the dwarf idk his full list of gifts because i barely interact with him. I just give him a ruby every 22nd of summer and he seems happy with that

The jewels don't have much use anyways. I usually throw away jewels after donating.
I just hoard them/occasionally sell if I see that I have a lot (except rubies all of those get traded for spicy eels (except one that gets gifted to the dwarf)) or sometimes I can gift a few to villagers, but since they can't be higher than normal quality, there's often a better option

Ok, good to know, cuz when I tried googliing it i was met with sushi restaurants and nothing else
22nd of summer is his birthday
That is crazy lmaoo. I never gift npc's on there birthdays too much except if I have a loved gift or the gift is easy to acquire. I never save a parsnip for Pam.

I'm not that big of a hoarder but yeah gifting them away is good.

I always gift them on their birthdays, cuz I'm too lazy to gift them normally. Maybe I can give away a few triple shot espressos (liked for all adults except Willy i think), I always have them in my inventory once I set up my coffee beans farm in the greenhouse, but I never go and look for an npc with their loved gift if its not their bday

I gift them whatever I have on me. Usually on normal days. I don't bother with birthdays at all.

The dwarf is generally just another npc to gift and learn about (through his single cutscene... :( ). He is a vendor and sells a couple useful things, but the bombs which are the most useful got a price jack in 1.6, so they're only really a good purchase late game when crafting with harvested materials is more wasteful than just buying them straight.

I wish we could have him as a roommate.
