What is green tea useful for?

Other than some fish ponds potentially requiring some to grow their population, what is it needed for? Is it useful to always keep some garden pots with it around, or is that a waste?

I am trying to figure out what to plant in my upcoming "Garden-Pots Shed". I already excluded coffee, since Evelyn's reward gives daily one and Gus sells an ulimited quantity, anyway.

Caroline and Lewis like green tea, but that's about it for unique uses. Assuming you have 1.6, it does give a slight speed buff, but this is outweighed by coffee. I like to plant tea saplings where I can pick the leaves once in a while to pickle them, but this is more of an early game strategy to make a little extra cash out of otherwise low value items. If you have the money and resources to build a shed and fill it with garden pots, you don't need the small amount of cash from tea.

Pineapples are probably your best bet if you are looking at profitability. Well, starfruit will outclass them, but you will have to replant them.

In fact, i live in a sub-urban, semi-rural area, have a small garden and always appreciate real life insight! That was an interesting piece of knowledge; i myself use sometimes used coffee mud and cold fireplace ash, to enrich soil and help plants.
I have heard great things too about using used coffee grounds to fertilize nearby soil as opposed to just throwing them away. It's good to hear that it's working for you!

IRL, Green Tea is said to be high in antioxidants and have more caffeine than regular tea. Green Tea Ice Cream at my local Asian cuisine restaurant was to die for! 😋 (That's probably because they used lots and lots of sugar in it, lol)

As far as Green Tea in the game is concerned...
Well, if you ever get around to trying out the Ridgeside Village Mod, then Green Tea can be used in a recipe for an even more potent tea called Matcha Latte that lasts for 11 minutes 40 seconds and grants +2 speed to the Farmer.

Macha Tea, just so happens to be my absolute favorite type of tea, in real life! Only downside is that it needs careful and precise preparation, plus locating high quality supply is both expensive and difficult.

It's a decent gift as it's generally liked by most

Some people use them as fences which generate a little bit of passive income on the side without ever decaying

They also make decent deco, and can be put in pots basically everywhere and they compliment most decorations just by virtue of being a simple, nice looking bush

I like Chinese teas, probably because I grew up drinking them. My favorite is imperial dragonwell (longjing). It's really different from matcha, light and floral and never bitter.

Garden pots off the farm is a really fun mechanic. I really need to plop pots of re-growable gifts in people's houses, like pepper for Shane and grapes for Vincent. Hm, I wonder who else I could target this way ...

This is something I've done!

I did almost everyone, when you have a gift for them at their house you don't even need for it to be loved. there are lots of regrowables like strawberry and grapes which are liked by a lot of people. Cranberry and blueberries are great as they give multiple so you can gift an entire family (though on average you'll have lower quality gifts)

Just don't mess up like me and put half your pots in the npc paths....

Regrowables in Garden Pots, with Deluxe Water Retaining soil, are a must! I myself filled a Big Shed with those, as cramped as it could be (to harvest with Iridium Scythe) and i made sure to grow multiples of ALL crops that keep regrowing! I like having everything gathered in one place. Also, it makes harvesting easier, since Very Lucky days yield more crops than usual (of those having a chance to drop more than one, per pick up).
