Question what does your mod creation process look like?

hello y'all! im pretty new to modding, ive only ever finished one mod that i never published, and im currently working on a second - a small expansion for the secret woods. i just feel a little stuck. i know what i want it to include (a few new maps and new NPCs, and a new shop) and i have a good idea of how i want it to look, but im not sure how i want to go about doing it. i have ADHD as well, which makes it even harder to put tasks in order.

so my question is, what does your process look like for creating a mod? what steps do you take and in what order?
