What character is your favorite to give gifts to?

For me, it's always been Shane. I always loved fishing in the mornings down by the river near Emily and Haley's house, and he would always pass to go to his joja mart job, Peppers were always something I grew in bulk in my farm so it all worked out!

His story and redemption is awesome, being able to save him and watch him flourish is such a bonus.

AND BLUE CHICKENS!!!

I love gifting Haley, because her loved gifts just so happen to be loved from me in real life, too.

Hmmm… who is the favorite to give Gifts to, I like this question.

Is it because I can get the Gifts for them easily in early game? That could be half the town, like Harvey, Haley, Caroline or Emily as they like

Daffodils, a common Spring Forage item.

Or is it because I like their reactions, because that has to be Abigail with her

mineral

munchies.

But really if it's for the reactions, I like the dichotomy of Shane the best. That I can stuff this man with Loved

Pizza and

Beer and still get “I'm surprised that you're still trying to make friends with me. Haven't I been rude enough to you yet? *sigh*...” or “Buh... Where's the Joja Cola?” afterwards for my efforts is just too good.

As much as I like Emily and Leah, I’m always conflicted that they both hate ice cream, and all the really good bad food.

Linus. I like Linus, he's grown on me as a character as I've played the game. He's pretty nice, and I like how he's kind of a complicated guy. He's super interesting, he's friends with the wizard, or at least it's relatively implied. He gives one of my favorite crafting recipes ever in game.

And he appreciates the junk I give him from off the ground! I'd say that's a solid guy. When fall rolls around I always buy extra yams to gift him with.

I'd love to know a bit more of his backstory.

His liking for forageables definitely makes him easier to gift in the early game - plus he's nearly always somewhere in a small area. At his tent, by the lake, or by the spa. My least favourite part of gift giving & help wanted quests is having to chase someone all over the map, even if you know their schedule.

"Come back, I have jelly!"

It'd be nice if we could leave 'help wanted' deliveries in the mailboxes. Or maybe upgrade the farm computer with a villager radar.

I really enjoy giving gifts in general. I love doing the Qi's kindness quest for 50 loved gifts in a week. Especially gifts that are loved by more than one character, and that have quality stars- iridium void eggs for Sebastian and Krobus, iridium cactus for Linus, Pam, and Sam. Gold pumpkins for Abigail and Willy. Also the flower ladies! Even though flowers can take up a lot of storage space I really like saving them up to give.

I definitely agree, I also think that each character's preferred gifts are tailored to different playstyles, so if you do a lot of mining you would find racking up hearts with Abigail to be easiest, or forging for someone like Leah.

Sure. One day, it's 'villager radar' to give them their gifts and stuff, next thing you know, you're holed up in a little cave on the Fern Islands, watching everyone, all the time, your skin having turned blue from sucking on Qi Gems!

Linus, Krobus and Leo - pretty equally. I just think they're neat characters. After that, probably Shane. He's interesting and who doesn't love blue chickens?

Linus. I like the character, plus all forage items are "liked" gifts for him and there are plenty of those in the mountains.
