Weirdest way to learn the game.

Now, I've never played sv and I know borderline nothing besides it's related to farming and has caves. I only saw my ex play it once and I've also been meaning to experiment with weird and ineffective ways to learn how to play a game. I had reading the entirety of wiki without ever opening the game in mind but that's not nearly special enough nor easy enough.
For clarity, I want something that I can VERY comfortably say that I was the first to learn the game in this specific way.

I mean I'm not exactly sure what to recommend, there's generally only a few ways of learning a game, either studying it with stuff outside, and then learning it by playing it. There aren't really avenues of learning a game besides those two things, and if you're looking for methods within those, they've probably already been done.
