Weird order of events

I finished the community center before I unlocked the sewers! This was a particularly quick community center finish for me (first few days of winter year 1). Normally I can do the witch's hut quest thingy immediately since I already have access to the sewer swamp and void eggs, but this time the Wizard was like "speak to krobus!" and my poor farmer is like "who???"

Yeah sometimes that happens, for me it also depends on luck with geodes, one run I got to half way year 2 before I got 60 items!

I have not been farming the mines as often as I have the last few runs. Less time in mines = fewer geodes = slower museum completion. I'm normally rushing to get to Krobus asap (he's one of my favorites) but I've been distracted with farming this run. (Imagine that - farming on a farming game? This might be a first for me.)

I tried to introduce myself to Krobus but he kept interrupting the conversation to shoot sparks at the sewer swamp door. Which, probably helpful, but kinda rude when I'm trying to talk to him.

Oh well, I'm friends with Haley, a little initial rudeness won't scare me off.
