I'm back
I wrote this in about 15 minutes cause I felt like it so if there is any errors let me know!
Why did you make them a simon and garfunkel cover band you may ask? why not. I noticed I had a weird amount of punk/rock simon and garfunkel covers on my playlist and i thought it would be funny. also no hate on simon and garfunkel sam's opinion is wrong because he's a silly little guy with terrible taste in music.
anyway enjoy and, as always, let me know what you think!!

“This is so crazy.”
Sam had to agree with Abigail's breathless words. It was so crazy, playing in their stupid band in front of the whole town. It hadn’t been easy, wrangling Lewis into letting them play at the Fair. Abby had put together a fantastic presentation on the correlation between live music and tourism increase, complete with cool animations between slides. It was super well researched and stuff, but in Sam’s humble opinion, it was the animations that really sold it. And getting the mayor to approve the set list… Lewis probably had the worst taste in music in the entire town. He only listened to Simon and Garfunkel. Can you believe that!
Thank god for Sebastian. He had found a bunch of really cool punk covers from some retro bands Sam hadn’t heard of. It wasn’t their usual style, but it was a lot of fun to play.
So yeah, he couldn't have done it without Seb and Abby. But now, standing on the stage in front of everyone he knew, it was Sam’s time to shine.
Sam was the Talent. He wasn’t even being egotistical by saying that. Seb and Abby, they loved the band. But Sam breathed it. They had their own things going for them outside the band, anyway. Abby was starting college in the fall. Sebastian had a job, despite having yet to graduate from high school. They didn’t need this the way Sam did.
“I know, right?” Sam grinned. “These losers won’t know what hit ‘em.”
“Well, saying that maybe half the town has been to our rehearsals and think it’s safe to say they will know exactly what hit them.” Sebastian said dryly. Sam stuck his tongue out in response.
This was going to go so well. They were perfect during sound check. They knew every song by heart. Sam couldn’t wait.
“Ok guys. It’s Robinson first, then Hazy Shade. Everyone got that?” he asked. Abby gave an enthusiastic thumbs up in reply.
“Let’s do this thing.” Seb added.
Up next, “Goblin Destroyer”!
Sam inhaled. This was it.
“One, two, three, four!”
