I hadn't done any drawing, painting, or such in like 20 years, and had convinced myself I had no artistic talent. Then, a couple of years ago, my now mother-in-law, who is an artist and art teacher, encouraged me to give watercolours a try, and she also instructed me on the basics. Result: a new hobby.
I like to include an element of fantasy in many of my paintings because I find it fun. I also use a lot of bright colours, especially my favourites yellow and green.
I didn't bother hiding my signature on some of the paintings because it's not my real name.
Below are a few of the pieces I've done so far, spoilered to make the post "shorter". Media used: watercolour paints and watercolour pencils.
