1.6 Update Was the Auto-petter spawn exploit patched out?

Playing stardew on mobile for iPhone.

Just as the subject line reads, I was able to spawn auto-petters by naming an animal the item code number, until i recently updated the game, now it says the “name” is no longer available. Has anyone else noticed this? I hope not because it’s not fair how rare they are if you don’t go the Joja route :(

edit: I figured it out, you just can’t have farm animals with the same name. I’m an idiot.
