My wife, son and I were in the second turn in Winter, had nothing saved up, and then turned this little gem in the crafts room bundle.

3 hour playtime and got shut down that hard and fast! LOL!

Kinda reminds me of early playing of Stardew before we looked at everything needed to finish bundles, when we didn't realize that we needed that one darned parsnip on Summer day 1 and had to wait 3 seasons to rectify.

My son is still muttering under his breath that we should have just changed the card and is refusing mom and dad's statements of "That is how life is."

And to top it off, I don't know how she did it but, the the puppy got a hold of one of the event cards. Check out the one she did get:

Ouch, that hurts. Next time, remember that you reveal the bundle from the left to the right. That way, the Crafts Room is the first one revealed so things like that won’t happen. It is written in the rulebook “Reveal (turn faceup) the leftmost, facedown Bundle Card.”

Ha! Must have missed that bit. We were probably in a big rush to play.

As a takeaway, almost won the first playthrough that way, though.

Also missed this on my first playthrough! You can even re-roll bundles if they're impossible reading the rules further.

Yes!! Don't forget that in the "reveal bundle" action, you can either reveal a bundle or replace a revealed bundle by spending the hearts. Saved my game yesterday when ~2 turns left to collect bug meat looked impossible, rerolling it into ore sounded infinitely better.
