Switch Wallpaper Bug (Nintendo Switch)

So I’m playing an un-modded single player game (version is 1.6.9.37) and I can’t replace the wallpaper in the hallway that leads to the upper right room in my fully upgraded house, anyone else having the same problem? (Same save as the one that I can’t divorce Leah in)

The only way I’ve figured to work past this is turning off the “Use Controller-Style Menus” option in the settings, and then using the cursor to drop the new wallpaper onto the wall using the Y button. Idk if there’s another way but this worked for me.

I have done it by standing beside the wall not in front of it then using the wallpaper.

I am able to place the wallpaper by using the right joystick to move the selected wallpaper to the wall. You have to be pretty exact with the placement as there is not a large target area.
