Switch Volcano glitch

As the second player in Co-op I can't fight in the volcano. There's nothing to fight and it just repeats the entrance until the 5th level when the lava is water and I can't go any further. I'm playing on switch.

Same for me. When host player enters a level, that one level generates normally though.

I'm having the same issue here. Playing local co-op on the Switch with the latest 1.6 update. 2nd player gets an empty volcano.

Host needs to be with the 2nd player for every level. You can cheese this to have the host enter first am with the second player, then the host leaves and the second player can run through repeat lava levels until the reach the forge, unlock the door and exit

I encountered this volcano glitch today while playing split screen with my son. When we tried to let time pass till the next day, the game crashed.

Happens with location context being messed up, the game is thinking level 0 is level 5, also messing up the lava texture (it's just retextured water that has a toggle set to look like lava when on certain floors - on level 5 it's always off)

Had this happen on PS 5 playing with my husband. We were going through together but we got completely different layouts for the level.
