Can confirm. Was like this a few days ago. Happened in multi-player as well to my wife and kid. Main character wasn't there. They saw multiple lava levels of the same look all the way back to the Caldera. Basically got prismatic shards for free, but on the way back the dwarf level looks like OPs and they had to go to the secret exit to leave the volcano. Not really sure if the dwarf level looked like that or not on their way in.
