It has been a long time since the last update. I am not on Twitter... has there been any word of future game improvements and additions?

I'm not on Twitter either but this was last I read in one of the many articles out there about a Stardew Valley 1.6 update. Was this update what you were referring to or something older? I've also seen references to a possible iridium scythe.

This update focuses on adding tools and resources to game modders, enabling them to create richer and more creative experiences. Apart from that, this update will also include new content to increase the excitement of the game.

Nonetheless, the developer has warned us not to have too high expectations like the previous update. This means that the changes introduced may not be as large or complex as before. However, this doesn't diminish their efforts to continue providing useful updates to the player community.

Currently, the release date for the new content has not been officially announced. Nonetheless, the hope is that this update will be available soon for fans to enjoy.
