Build a chest, stick it in a hidden spot on your farm and forget about it lol! Some of the collectibles can be trashed others not. If your on PC you can use a save editor and delete them that way but otherwise the chest or trash are your only two options. I’m really sorry.

Would it work to place it in a villager's path?

Craft a big size chest which can contain 50 items.

Or you can put them in your barns and coops.
My barns and coops are full of statures.

They will either be pushed or of the way or end up in the lost and found. Villages aren’t as destructive add they used to be.

Who cares if it is in the lost and found. That is a bottomless pit you don't have to care about.

Also, I've never tried, but can you put statues down in the Mine or Skull Cavern? If so, that's a good way for them to be deleted from existence.

Use them to decorate other parts of the valley!

Stone Owls do stack at least, so they'll only take up 1 slot in a chest somewhere. Not sure about the Frog ones.

You might be able to throw them in the sea or in the volcano. Can you still blow up a chest with bombs? ('cause we all did that accidentally at least once, lol) That might work.

Any more ideas for Operation Owl Disposal?

While it won't get rid of the statues, maybe try decorating your farm with them? I have four owl statues on one of my farms, I haven't decided what to do with them but I have them lined up by my greenhouse in the meantime. I kinda like the look.
