Switch Unplayable lag

I’ve been experiencing extreme lag on my farm every 4-5 seconds for about a full second.
I have four cats and a dog and I feel like this is causing the lag as when they’re outside during the day that’s when I get the lag and when they’re outside during go inside at night the lag is in my house.
I get about 400 lags per in game day and there’s no way to stop it as I really don’t want to get rid of any of my pets :(
During each lag the screen freezes but the game is still playing as I teleport around, the audio and vibrations of the controller combine the noises from during the lag and play them in a really weird way when the lag is done, even when PAUSED the lag freezes everything in the same way.
I can’t upload videos here but I really hope this fixes soon because I’m thinking about dropping the game until it’s patched.

I believe im having the same issue, at first i thought it was because of the five cats and sixteen pigs, but even at night it still happens outdoors and in, it happens in menus and my inventory as well, i was so excited for 1.6 and cant help but feel the experience is ruined considering i cant even take a step on my own farm, definitely wont be touching skull cavern with the game like this. i have videos but cant figure out how to attach them.

Yeah that’s the EXACT same as mine! I have 24 ducks and 12 goats too and I thought that was it and sold them and it didn’t change anything!
I’ve also tried redownloading the software and going through the virus scan in the switch settings and it didn’t find anything so it’s definitely hard coded!
I feel like I can still enjoy some of the 1.6 update anywhere off the farm but it’s unavoidable which really sucks, praying that concernedape fixes it quick because it really sours all the effort and work they put in :(

yes actually! OP removing hats from pets takes the lag with it, not sure about the horse but im sure hes very upset about the loss of his blobfish face
